Tone

Your core didn't fail you. It just needs help coming back.

Tone uses hands-free electrical muscle stimulation to strengthen your abdominal muscles - especially when pregnancy, diastasis, or time has left your core weaker than it should be. This is not body sculpting. It's real functional recovery.

What Tone Does

Tone is an EmpowerRF technology by InMode. Flat applicator pads go on your abdomen. The device sends electrical pulses that make your muscles contract - hard, repeatedly, at intensities you would never hit on your own.

It's hands-free. You lie back. The machine does the work. Sessions are about 20-30 minutes.

At IB Therapy, Tone is offered as a women's wellness treatment. It is about function. Strength. Stability. Getting your core to actually support you again.

Why This Matters More Than People Think

Your core is not just about looking a certain way. It supports your pelvic floor, posture, back, and your ability to pick up your kid without wincing.

When your abs weaken - from pregnancy, diastasis recti, surgery, or simply not being able to engage them properly anymore - the ripple effects are real.

Back pain that never goes away
A loose feeling through your midsection
Exercises that used to be easy and now feel impossible
A persistent belly that has nothing to do with weight
Less support for your pelvic floor, which can make incontinence and heaviness worse

The Women Who Come In For This

Most of them have a version of the same story: "I had a baby and my core never came back."

Maybe it was six months ago. Maybe it was six years ago. They have tried planks. They have tried Pilates. They might have a diastasis diagnosis. The muscles just will not fire the way they used to.

Others have not had kids - they have just noticed gradual weakness they cannot seem to reverse. Tone gives those muscles a jumpstart they cannot get on their own.

Tone

What It Feels Like

Strong contractions. Your abs will be working in a way that feels like the most intense core workout you have ever done - except you are not doing anything. You are just lying there.

It's not painful, but it is not subtle either. The intensity is adjustable. Irina dials it to where it is effective but tolerable for you.

Afterward, you might feel that post-workout muscle fatigue. That's it. No downtime. No recovery. You walk out and go about your day.

How It Connects to Everything Else

Tone pairs naturally with V-Tone. One strengthens your abs. The other strengthens your pelvic floor. Together they rebuild the core support system that holds everything together.

For a lot of postpartum women, doing both makes more sense than doing either one alone. Irina sorts that out during your consultation.

Common Questions

What patients ask before booking.

Short, honest answers first. Irina can go deeper during your private consultation.

Is it painful?

Intense, but not painful. You will feel strong contractions. The level is adjusted to your comfort.

How many sessions do I need?

Most women do a series over several weeks. Your plan gets built during the consultation.

Does this fix diastasis recti?

Tone strengthens the muscles around the separation, which can improve stability and function. It may significantly improve mild to moderate diastasis recti, but if the separation is more severe or associated with hernia, surgery may still be the best option. During your consultation, Irina helps determine what level of support is most appropriate.

Any downtime?

None. You might feel like you did an ab workout. That's normal.

Can I do this with pelvic floor treatments?

Absolutely. Tone and V-Tone are a common combination for women recovering from pregnancy.

How soon will I feel stronger?

Some women notice better core engagement within a few sessions. Full results build over the treatment plan.
